The Millet Ubic 30 hiking backpack is a **mountain backpack** that stands out for its **carrying comfort and strength**, and great **versatility.**

It is therefore perfectly suited to **medium-length hikes**, **travel**, and also **skiing and mountaineering.**

## Comfortable carrying

The quality carrying system makes this Millet backpack suitable for **heavy loads**:

- it uses an ergonomic Foam Lighter Back contact system that sits close to your back, with thermoformed pads, stretch covering and ventilation channels;
- an X-shaped fibreglass support frame provides back rigidity;
- the contoured shoulder straps wrap around the shoulders, and the ergonomic hip belt helps distribute the load evenly.
- Finally, load-lifter straps and an adjustable chest strap complete the carrying system.

## Versatile features

- main pocket with a protective collar; it has a double compartment divided in 2 by a zipped partition, with **zipped access at the bottom of the pack**;
- lid with 2 buckle closures and 2 zipped pockets: one inside with a key clip and one outside containing the removable rain cover (remove it to save 100 g).
- 1 stretch zipped front pocket;
- 1 stretch side pocket;
- 1 zipped bellows side pocket;
- 1 stretch zipped hip belt pocket;
- hydration reservoir compartment in the main compartment, with a drinking tube outlet;
- rope strap;
- lower gear straps for attaching a tent or sleeping mat;
- side compression straps;

**Variloop equipment-carrying system**:

This system carries any alpine or wild camping equipment, such as poles, skis, ice axes, snowshoes, tent or sleeping mat.

It is removable and size-adjustable using reinforced straps and attachment loops.

Un petit reproche sur les poches latérales mais qui est le même sur tous les modèles : je trouve la poche en filet un peu légère (en solidité) pour une gourde et pas assez profonde pour les cartes. La poche de l'autre coté prend de la place à l'intérieur du sac. Je regrette un peu les anciennes poches rapportées. Idem pour la poche filet zippée située sur le devant du sac que je trouve trop petite pour un habit de pluie, trop petite pour mettre une carte, et un peu fragile pour un objet épais. Autre souci, la poche de la ceinture ventrale permet mal de ranger un petit appareil photo. Elle est carrément trop petite pour un smartphone (Millet a du passer à coté du fait que les téléphones ont un peu grandi en taille !!!) Dommage donc que l'accessoirisation ne soit pas plus réussie pour un sac de ce niveau là.
