The Osprey Tempest 33 is an **ultralight hiking backpack designed for women**. It offers well-ventilated carrying.

Well equipped with plenty of features, it suits day or weekend hikes with a light load.

## Lightweight, ventilated and adjustable carrying:

The Tempest 33 backpack is designed to prevent perspiration build-up and offers several adjustment systems:

- The **back has mesh** over **a flexible foam panel** with **large cut-outs** to let air circulate. It provides **maximum ventilation and comfort.**
- The **shoulder straps adjust in height using simple Velcro fastening.** Made from mesh-covered foam for optimal ventilation, they feature **load-lifter straps** and a **chest strap adjustable** in height and width
- The foam **hip belt** is also **covered in mesh** to help **wick away perspiration**. Its **ergonomic shape** wraps closely around the lumbar region and waist for comfortable carrying.

## Storage:

The Osprey Tempest 33 backpack has plenty of storage options:

- 1 **main compartment accessible from the top**. A strap lets you secure equipment.
- 1 lid with a large external zipped pocket and an internal mesh pocket containing a **carabiner**.
- 1 **stretch front pocket in open-weave fabric**, handy for carrying wet clothing, for example,
- **2 elasticated stretch side pockets**, also in open-weave fabric,
- The hydration bladder compartment is completely separate from the main storage compartment, positioned between the back and main compartment, with a hanging clip.
- 2 zipped hip belt pockets.

## A comprehensive range of features:

The Tempest backpack looks simple but has plenty of accessories tucked into small storage spaces:

- Two trekking pole/ice axe holders on the back, plus a **front pole holder** that lets you reach your poles without removing the pack.
- A small shoulder strap pocket can hold a cereal bar or gel.
- **The **side compression straps**** can be stowed inside the side pockets by sliding them through the small slots provided.
- **Rear LED light attachment** for cycling,

**What outings is this backpack designed for?**

This lightweight Tempest 33 is designed for women and weighs 1.17 kg empty. Its mesh back rests on a foam panel with cut-outs for good ventilation. It suits day or weekend hikes with a light load and has pole holders accessible without removing the pack. How long a trip do you have in mind?

**How does it adjust to my back?**

This size M/L Tempest 33 adjusts to back lengths of 46 to 60 cm, from neck to hip. Its shoulder straps move vertically using Velcro, and its ergonomic hip belt wraps around the lumbar region. Do you know your back length?
