## **Carrying system: adjustable, well-ventilated back**

This Vega 40 backpack offers excellent ventilation thanks to a **suspended mesh back**. The mesh back maintains a gap between the hiker's back and the pack at all times, including at the lower back, for maximum ventilation and reduced perspiration.

A rare feature on such an affordable pack, **the shoulder straps are height-adjustable,** allowing you to fit them precisely to your back length.

The relatively slim hip belt wraps well around your hips for stability and freedom of movement.

The Highlander Vega 40 is well equipped for a hiking backpack of this size:

- The main compartment is accessible from the top through a large opening, giving easy access to all the contents. It is also accessible from the bottom, with a divider that can be opened or closed using a drawcord.
- Hydration bladder sleeve in the main compartment, with a drinking tube outlet;
- 1 internal zipped pocket for items needing protection.
- 1 external pocket at the top of the pack;
- 1 zipped front pocket;
- 2 open side pockets for water bottles, with an elasticated cord to secure the neck;
- 2 zipped hip belt pockets: 1 **waterproof pocket** and one mesh pocket;
- 2 pole holders at the back, plus a **front pole holder**, allowing you to reach your poles without taking off your pack.

**How does it adjust to my back?**

This Vega 40 has height-adjustable shoulder straps, a rarity on such an affordable pack, allowing you to fit them to your back length.
