## Description

The **Osprey Exos 48** hiking backpack perfectly combines **low weight** and carrying **comfort**. Its **suspended mesh back panel** and foam and mesh shoulder straps also make it highly **breathable**. The Osprey Exos 48 backpack suits fans of **multi-day ultralight hiking in warm weather**. Its lid is removable to reduce the weight even further.

## A lightweight, breathable carrying system

- The lightweight Osprey Exos 48 hiking backpack has a **suspended mesh back panel**. It allows air to circulate between your back and the pack, reducing perspiration. This panel is supported by a slim aluminium frame. The mesh extends along the full length of the back: **the entire area in contact with your back is therefore ventilated**.
- The breathable mesh shoulder straps are padded with **thicker foam over the shoulders**. They are height-adjustable.
- The adjustable hip belt is also lightly padded with thin, breathable foam.
- The Exos 48 backpack has load lifter straps.
- A carry handle sits at the top of the back panel.

## Storage

To keep its weight down, the lightweight Osprey Exos 48 hiking backpack has simple, no-frills storage. It nevertheless offers generous capacity.

- A main compartment accessed from the top of the pack, with a cordlock opening.
- A hydration bladder compartment with a **hose outlet** sits inside the main compartment.
- The removable lid contains a zipped pocket on top and another underneath with a key clip. **The lid can be removed** **to reduce the weight** even further. A simple flap then closes the top of the backpack.
- An open stretch pocket on the front of the pack, secured with a buckle, holds a map or waterproof clothing.
- Two elasticated side pockets for storing water bottles, for example.

## Accessories

- Pole and ice axe attachments on the back, plus a front pole holder so you can reach your poles without taking off your pack.
- Side compression straps.
- Several attachment loops for ropes or other equipment.
- A height-adjustable chest strap with a safety whistle.

The **Osprey Exos 48 backpack** does not come with a rain cover. To protect the pack from rain, we recommend the [Highlander waterproof rucksac cover.](https://www.rayonrando.com/en/backpack-covers/712-medium-waterproof-rucksack-cover-rain-cover.html)

_Passage to check in the video._

On
