## Description

The **Osprey Exos 58 hiking rucksack** perfectly combines **low weight** and carrying **comfort**. Its **suspended mesh back** and foam and mesh shoulder straps also make it very **breathable**. The Osprey Exos 58 suits enthusiasts of **multi-day ultra-light hiking in hot weather**. Its lid is removable to reduce weight further.

## **A lightweight, breathable carrying system**

- The Osprey Exos 58 lightweight hiking rucksack has a **suspended mesh back**. It allows air to circulate between your back and the pack, reducing perspiration. This back is supported by a slim aluminium frame. The mesh extends over the full back length, so **ventilation covers the entire contact area** with the wearer.
- The breathable mesh shoulder straps are padded with **thicker foam over the shoulders**. They are height-adjustable.
- The adjustable hip belt is also lightly padded with thin, breathable foam.
- The Exos 58 has load-transfer straps.
- A carry handle sits at the top of the back panel.

## **Storage**

With low weight in mind, the Osprey Exos 58 lightweight hiking rucksack offers storage without unnecessary extras. It still provides a generous capacity.

- A main compartment accessed from the top of the pack, with a cordlock opening.
- A hydration bladder compartment with a **hose outlet** sits inside the main compartment.
- The removable lid contains a zipped pocket on top and another underneath with a key clip. **The lid can be removed** **to reduce weight** further. A simple flap then closes the top of the rucksack.
- An open stretch pocket on the front of the pack, secured with a buckle, holds a map or waterproof clothing.
- Two elasticated side pockets for storing water bottles, for example.

## **Accessories**

- Pole and ice axe attachments on the back, plus a front pole holder so you can reach your poles without taking off your pack.
- Side compression straps.
- Several attachment loops for ropes or other equipment.
- A height-adjustable chest strap with a safety whistle.

The **Osprey Exos 58 rucksack** does not come with a rain cover. To protect the pack from rain, we recommend the H[ighlander waterproof rucksac cover.](https://www.rayonrando.com/en/backpack-covers/712-medium-waterproof-rucksack-cover-rain-cover.html)

[2:44](https://www.rayonrando.com/en/6070-l-hiking-backpacks/4267-exos-58-hiking-rucksack.html#video-wyBf5ncpMzI-t-164) sac.

## A question about this product?

**Is it suitable for ultra-light hiking?**

This Exos 58 is designed for multi-day lightweight hiking in hot weather, weighing just 1360 g, with a suspended mesh back that allows air to circulate and a removable lid to save more weight. It has no rain cover. What weight of equipment are you planning to carry in it?

**How does it differ from the Exos 48?**

This Exos 58 offers ten litres more than the Exos 48 for just 20 g extra, 1360 g compared with 1340 g, with the same back length in L/XL. Those extra litres leave room for warmer sleeping gear or more self-sufficient supplies. Do your outings usually last a weekend or a week?
