- Tensioned mesh covers the entire contact area, from the hips to the upper back, maintaining a constant gap between the walker and the pack for **good ventilation**.

The lightly padded shoulder straps are covered in **breathable mesh fabric**, while the padded, mesh-covered hip belt wraps securely around your waist for good support.

- The lid has a large external zipped pocket containing a key clip.

- A **mesh pocket** on each side of the backpack can hold a water bottle, for example.

The **Osprey Rook 65** men's backpack also features:

- Load lifter straps
- Height-adjustable chest strap with a safety whistle

[5:51](https://www.rayonrando.com/en/6070-l-hiking-backpacks/4914-rook-65-hiking-backpack.html#video-8Iij2tsfW40-t-351) l'aise.

## A question about this product?

**Will this backpack fit my build?**

This Rook 65 has a height-adjustable mesh back for back lengths from 43 to 56 cm between the neck and hip, suiting most builds, short or tall. Its padded, mesh-covered shoulder straps and hip belt fit snugly around the waist for good support. Roughly how long is your back, from neck to hip?

**What kind of hikes is this backpack designed for?**

This 65 L backpack is light for its capacity at 1720 g, and designed for summer hiking thanks to its tensioned mesh back. It offers the essentials, with a main compartment accessible from the top and bottom, a removable divider and straps for carrying a sleeping mat or tent. How long do you plan to travel self-sufficiently with this pack?

**How does it differ from the Rook 50?**

This Rook 65 offers 65 L for 1720 g, while the Rook 50 holds 50 L for 1700 g. Both have the same adjustable mesh back for 43 to 56 cm back lengths and the same features, so the choice mainly depends on the space you need for your tent, sleeping bag and food. How many days would you need to be self-sufficient for?
