## Description

The Ferrino Transalp 100 is a load-carrying backpack. It stands out for its **large capacity** (100 L) and **low weight** for its dimensions.

The Ferrino backpack provides good carrying comfort through its hip load-transfer system, comprising 2 duraluminium stays and a rigid back panel.
Its shoulder straps, lumbar pads and hipbelt also have very thick, breathable mesh padding.

The shoulder straps have load-lifters and an adjustable chest strap.

A lower-back ventilation channel and 2 side channels help wick moisture away.

The Transalp 100 backpack has comprehensive features:

- Main compartment divided in 2 by a removable divider, **accessible from the top and bottom**, as well as through a **large suitcase-style opening**;
- Lid with an internal zipped pocket and a large external zipped pocket (containing a zipped mesh pocket storing additional straps);
- Zipped front pocket containing a second zipped pocket;
- 2 large zipped side pockets;
- 2 zipped hipbelt pockets for snacks or a compact camera;
- Pole holder;
- Clip-fastened front straps for attaching equipment or compressing the backpack;
- Clip-fastened compression strap at the base;
- Loops beneath the pack with removable straps (straps included and stored in the lid's mesh pocket);
- Main compartment with a hydration reservoir sleeve and tube outlet;
- Removable rain cover.

This Transalp 100 is a large load-carrying pack offering 100 litres while remaining light for its size at 2.75 kg. Two duraluminium stays and a rigid back panel transfer weight to the hips. Its back is adjustable, its suitcase-style opening gives access to all contents, and a removable rain cover is included. What trips will you use it for?

**How does it compare with the Transalp 75?**

This Transalp 100 offers 100 litres for 2.75 kg, compared with 75 litres for 2,760 g in the Transalp 75: 25 litres more for roughly the same weight.
