This **Opinel No.8 VRI knife** is highly **versatile**, perfect for **outdoor use, camping, DIY...**

This pocket knife features a **Sandvik stainless steel blade** in the distinctive Yatagan shape.

This blade, characteristic of Opinel knives, has a convex profile and curves towards the tip, ensuring excellent cutting performance.

The Sandvik stainless steel developed for Opinel is renowned for its **sharpness and easy maintenance**.

Its carbon content of at least 0.40% provides a **very good cutting edge without susceptibility to corrosion.**

This Opinel No.8 knife also features a **Virobloc rotating safety collar**.

This lets you **lock the blade both open and closed**.

Finally, the handle is carved from beech wood sourced from France Arbre.

A coat of natural varnish protects the whole handle.

**What steel is its blade made from?**

This Opinel No.8 VRI has a Sandvik stainless steel blade developed for Opinel, with a convex Yatagan shape curving towards the tip for excellent cutting performance. This steel is renowned for its sharpness and easy maintenance, with a carbon content of at least 0.40 % that keeps it resistant to corrosion. What kind of cutting do you have in mind?

**What is the safety collar for?**
