## Description

The Vaude Taurus Ultralight 2P is first and foremost an **ultralight 2-person hiking tent that packs down very compactly.**

Together with the hogan Ultralight, it is also the strongest of our lightweight tents.

This Vaude tent offers **excellent wind and rain resistance** thanks to **high-tech materials** and effective construction:

- silicone treatment on both sides of the **flysheet** (waterproof rating **3,000 mm)**;
- high-quality **groundsheet** (waterproof rating **10,000 mm**), resistant to formic acid;
- **lightweight, strong poles** in AL 7001 T6 aluminium, 9 mm in diameter.

**It pitches quickly and very easily thanks to its external pole system.**

This system is very handy in bad weather, allowing quick pitching without exposing the inside to rain, for example: the flysheet goes up first, then the inner tent clips inside, or can stay permanently clipped in for ultra-fast pitching if needed.

This external frame consists of 2 arched poles.

One pole tensions the wall at the head end, complemented at the foot end by 2 aluminium struts built into the fabric. These tension the foot-end wall to maintain generous internal space.

This Vaude Taurus ultralight tent sleeps 2 in the inner tent, while an aluminium strut at the front creates a **porch with enough room to store bags and footwear.**

The 2-person Taurus Ultralight tent comes in a waterproof storage bag with a roll-top closure and clips.

This Taurus Ultralight 2P is an ultralight 1.96 kg hiking tent for 2 people that packs down compactly. Together with the Hogan Ultralight, it is also the strongest of Vaude's lightweight tents, with excellent wind and rain resistance. What conditions will you be travelling in?

**How do you pitch this tent?**

This tent pitches flysheet first, with 2 arched poles: the outside goes up first, then the inner clips in, or can stay permanently clipped in, which is handy in the rain. A front porch provides storage for bags and footwear. Have you pitched this type of tent before?
