## Description

The **Sea to Summit** **Ether Light XR insulated regular** inflatable sleeping mat is **lightweight, very comfortable and insulating**. Ideal for lightweight hiking and comfortable cold-weather sleep thanks to an extra insulating layer.

## Comfort and insulation

The ideal inflatable mat for hikers who sleep on their side. Its **10 cm thickness** and independent cell construction stop the hip sinking too far.
The Ether Light XR insulated mat uses Air Sprung Cells technology: cells are entirely independent, with just one wall joining the top fabric to the ground-facing fabric. This provides **good stability** through the night. Using less fabric also **saves weight**.
For cold insulation, the mat has **several layers** called TRM, **quiet aluminised films**. These reflect body heat and **reduce heat transfer** between hiker and ground.

## Tough materials

The materials and construction are tough, making it **suited to all-terrain use**.
The 30/40D nylon fabric resists snags, the internal TPU layer has an antimicrobial treatment to keep the mat hygienic, and the outer fabric's PU coating reduces noise and slipping while retaining a soft feel.

This lightweight inflatable sleeping mat has a **clever multifunction valve**:
A non-return valve lets you **inflate the mat easily** without losing pressure.
For deflation, the valve offers two options: release air incrementally by pressing the non-return valve to adjust firmness before use, or deflate completely for packing.

## Storage sack with integrated inflation system and repair kit included.

The storage bag doubles as a pump sack for very quick, effortless inflation.
The repair kit includes 6 self-adhesive puncture patches and a replacement non-return flap for lasting use.

**Will it be warm enough for me?**

This Ether Light XR Insulated mat has an R-value of 4.1, well above the 2.5 threshold for mats usable over three seasons and beyond. Its aluminised layers reflect body heat and reduce heat transfer to the ground. It is therefore designed for comfortable sleep in cool weather. What season and altitude do you most often sleep at?

**Which size should I choose?**

This mat comes in Regular, measuring 183 cm by 55 cm for 470 g, and Large, measuring 198 cm by 64 cm for 605 g. The Regular packs down to 20 x 11 cm and suits most sleepers. The Large provides more space for taller builds or those who like moving at night. How tall are you, and do you mainly sleep on your side or back?

**How does it differ from the Pro model?**

This Regular mat has an R-value of 4.1 for 470 g, compared with 7.4 for 560 g on the Ether Light XR Pro Insulated Regular, which retains the same 10 cm thickness and size.
