## Description

The Millet G Trek 5 Goretex men's hiking boots are designed for hikers seeking **very secure boots** in support and grip for **multi-day hikes**, including on **rough terrain**. These Gore-Tex boots have a waterproof, breathable membrane.

## Precise, grippy Vibram sole

The G Trek 5 Goretex has a firm sole ensuring **excellent grip** while providing **maximum precision and responsiveness** for your foot, essential for secure footing on rough or rocky ground.

A stabilising heel provides maximum shock absorption and excellent stability.

A **full protective rand** in rubber reinforces the forefoot, heel and sides.

These are therefore tough boots fully suited to rough terrain.

## Boots providing support and comfort

The leather and Gore-Tex uppers are soft, with padded ankles for a **comfortable fit**. The highly **waterproof, breathable** Gore-Tex membrane provides excellent weather protection while letting your feet breathe.

The high-cut upper supports the ankle and protects the ankle bones.

With two removable insoles, the G Trek 5 Goretex **adapts to your foot width**. Remove the thin insole for wide feet and retain it otherwise. The second dual-density insole is soft and comfortable.

These boots are also **compatible with semi-automatic crampons**.

**Choosing the right size:**

- Measure your foot as follows: standing with your heel against a wall, measure the length of **your foot + one finger's width,** to allow a little extra room for comfort. This accommodates swelling as you walk and ensures your toes do not hit the end of the shoe.

- Refer to the shoe size conversion chart and compare your measurement with **the insole size**.

Parfait.

## A question about this product?

**What kind of hikes are they designed for?**

These G Trek 5 Goretex are designed for multi-day hikes, including rough or rocky terrain, with a firm Vibram sole for precise, secure footing. They have a high-cut upper supporting the ankle, a full protective rand and a waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex membrane. They even take semi-automatic crampons. What terrain do you have in mind?

**Which size should I choose?**

For these boots, Millet gives the insole length for each size, for example 27.3 cm in 42. Adding a finger's width to your foot length leaves room for your toes. They also have two removable insoles, with the thin one removed for wide feet. Is your foot fairly narrow or wide?

**How does it differ from the G Trek 4 GTX (men's)?**

This G Trek 5 weighs 665 g per boot in size 42, compared with 600 g for the G Trek 4, but offers a firmer sole, more precise on rough terrain, and support designed for long stages. The G Trek 4 is a little lighter and more versatile. Do your hikes last several consecutive days?
