**How do they unfold?**

These Ferrino Thui poles deploy almost instantly: simply let the three sections drop so they slot together automatically, then press down on the pole to lock it. Folding takes barely any longer, with two clips to pull to release the sections. The third section adjusts in length with a metal lever lock. What length do you normally use, and what terrain do you walk on?

**Are they light and compact enough for me?**

These Thui poles are aluminium, weighing 270 g each, and fold to 40 cm for easy storage on or inside your pack. Their foam handles with extended grips are comfortable on traverses, and their length ranges from 40 to 135 cm. What hikes are you planning to take them on?
