This Lifesaver Cube 5L offers highly reliable filtration because it is **mechanical**. A membrane perforated with **0.015-micron** pores, compared with 0.1 or 0.2 for more common filters, **physically blocks**:

- bacteria > 99.9999 %
- **viruses** > 99.99 %
- cysts > 99.99 %

This filter can treat around **5000 litres of water** before clogging, depending on water turbidity. A filter at the end of its life stops letting water through, so there is **no risk of contamination**.
Pressurising the water enables a flow rate of up to **1.25 litres / minute**.
An **activated carbon** disc is included to remove chlorine, odours and **unpleasant tastes** from the water, with a lifespan of around 100L.

**How does this purifier work?**

Fill this 5 L Cube purifier with water through the pump cap, screw it back on, then use the piston to pressurise the water. Simply open the tap to release filtered water at up to 1.25 L per minute. Its 0.015-micron membrane retains bacteria, viruses and cysts, and an activated carbon disc improves the taste. How many people do you travel with?

**What trips is it suitable for?**

This Cube is designed for van or car trips where several people share the water. Its 5 L capacity, square shape measuring 20 cm on each side, and impact-resistant construction make it easy to store in a corner of the boot. It weighs 1340 g, making it less suited to backpacking.
