So-called ‘tactical’ backpacks are suitable for bushcraft, survival and, more generally, self-sufficient activities immersed in nature.

Several criteria determine your choice of tactical backpack:

Durability and comfort:

Tactical backpacks use tough materials. They prioritise simple, strong construction. These packs are designed to carry heavy loads if needed and withstand rough treatment, including dirt, abrasion and rubbing.

The generally conventional carrying system, with good padding and load-transfer stays, lets you carry weight comfortably.

Storage and modularity:

Tactical backpacks offer multiple compartments to arrange and organise your kit properly. Attachment straps complement the pockets. The MOLLE system of flat loops lets you customise your pack by adding extra pockets and accessories wherever you choose, keeping your most useful equipment within reach.

Discretion:

Users generally want to blend into nature as much as possible. Packs therefore come in discreet colours: khaki green, sometimes labelled Olive, camouflage or black. If your pack is rather conspicuous, you can add one of our green or camouflage rain covers to make it less visible.

We offer 2 ranges of tactical backpacks:

- Tasmanian Tiger tactical backpacks are a benchmark, used in particular by the US military and law enforcement agencies. We selected Tasmanian Tiger tactical backpacks for their durability: they use 700-denier Cordura fabrics. This fabric specification is much higher than that of conventional backpacks and provides excellent resistance to abrasion, tearing and rough treatment. Tasmanian Tiger backpacks are also renowned for comfort. They suit regular use and cope with all kinds of situations.

- For more occasional use or a first purchase, we have also selected a few Highlander backpacks, which are more basic and more affordable.
