The MOLLE system is a standardised attachment system made up of rows of flat attachment loops. These loops let you attach accessories to your backpack or add and remove pockets wherever you want, according to your needs.

A standardised attachment system:

In practice, these are 25 mm-high strips positioned horizontally on the backpack with 25 mm gaps. Vertical stitching spaced 40 mm apart creates numerous loops to which you can attach accessories: a knife sheath, zipped pouch, tool and more.

From NATO to bushcraft: customising your equipment

MOLLE is an English acronym for Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment. It describes a system developed since the early 2000s within NATO forces, particularly the US military. It was initially fitted to military and police packs before also being used on adventure packs designed especially for bushcraft and ‘survival’.

Users can therefore customise their backpack layout, placing accessories and pockets wherever they find most practical. They can also add or remove pockets to suit their current needs.

Tasmanian Tiger tactical backpacks have plenty of MOLLE loops to customise your equipment.
