DD Hammocks, a leading brand for bushcraft and wild camping

A brand designed for outdoor enthusiasts

Since 2005, Scottish brand DD Hammocks has developed equipment for people spending time in the wild. It has built a strong reputation among bushcrafters, hikers and wild campers through functional, robust, easy-to-use products.

Its approach prioritises simplicity and efficiency, particularly important when travelling light or spending several days self-sufficiently.

Equipment designed for self-sufficiency in the wild

DD Hammocks products meet the needs of users seeking versatile equipment adaptable to different environments. They let you create a shelter, organise camp or set up a lightweight sleeping system for many situations.

Why choose DD Hammocks?

DD Hammocks appeals to many users through a philosophy focused on outdoor effectiveness.

The brand's equipment offers several benefits valued in bushcraft and hiking:

• Robust construction suited to regular use.
• Excellent weight-to-protection ratio.
• Great versatility of use.
• Equipment that is simple to set up.
• Adaptability to many environments.
• Compatibility between the brand's different items.

This approach lets you build a lightweight, reliable, adaptable wild camping system.

DD Hammocks tarps, the brand's signature products

DD Hammocks tarps are the brand's best-known products and have contributed greatly to its reputation among bushcraft enthusiasts.

A tarp is a lightweight shelter protecting you from rain, wind or sun. Its main advantage is versatility. With many attachment points, a DD Hammocks tarp can be pitched in multiple ways according to terrain, weather or required protection.

This adaptability particularly appeals to users who enjoy wilderness camping techniques. The same tarp can be a main shelter, protection above a hammock or a covered area for cooking and sheltering during bad weather.

Lightweight and compact packed, DD Hammocks tarps fit easily into a hiking backpack or bushcraft kit.

DD Hammocks hammocks for sleeping in the wild

Hammocks are the brand's other main specialism. They provide comfortable sleeping without perfectly flat ground.

Particularly popular in forests, DD Hammocks hammocks offer a lightweight, practical way to spend the night between two trees. Paired with a tarp, they form a complete sleeping system for effective weather protection.

This approach appeals to bushcraft and lightweight hiking enthusiasts seeking an alternative to traditional tents.

DD Hammocks and bushcraft

Bushcraft rests on self-sufficiency, adapting to the environment and considered equipment use. This philosophy is fully reflected in DD Hammocks products.

The brand's equipment creates a functional camp with relatively simple, versatile kit. Tarps, hammocks and suspension accessories offer many configurations according to needs and outdoor conditions.

This flexibility explains bushcrafters' enthusiasm for DD Hammocks products.

Equipment suited to wild camping and lightweight hiking

Beyond bushcraft, DD Hammocks also serves hikers wanting lower equipment weight without sacrificing comfort.

Tarps and hammocks create a particularly lightweight, compact sleeping system. This approach is valued on multi-day hikes, treks and journeys where every gram counts.

Equipment adaptability also makes it easy to adjust your setup to conditions encountered during the adventure.
