Stratos 36 hiking backpack

The Osprey Stratos 36-litre backpack is an ideal companion for summer hikes, whether for a day or a few days when travelling light. With its well-ventilated back and flexible, lightweight, breathable shoulder straps and hip belt, it keeps you comfortable in hot temperatures.

Carrying: a ventilated, comfortable back

With its Airspeed back system, the Stratos 36 has a ventilated tensioned mesh back, creating space between the pack and your back for air to circulate.

The back height adjusts easily using Velcro, unusual on a tensioned mesh back, allowing you to match it to your size.

The hip belt and shoulder straps are padded with channelled foam covered in mesh for flexibility, breathability and comfortable carrying.

Load-lifter straps at the top of the pack and a height-adjustable chest strap further improve carrying comfort.

Features: plenty of accessories for a versatile pack

The main compartment is accessible from the top with a drawcord and from the side through a long zip. The zipped side opening gives access to your belongings without opening the lid.

A hydration bladder compartment with a drinking tube outlet sits inside the main compartment.

A separate bottom compartment has a two-way zipped opening. It can hold dirty clothing or a sleeping bag.

1 secondary zipped pocket on the front keeps a waterproof jacket within easy reach.

The lid has two zipped pockets: an internal mesh pocket with a key hook, and an external pocket.

The Osprey Stratos 36 backpack also features:

• 2 mesh side pockets for water bottles
• 2 zipped hip belt pockets
• Straps at the base for attaching a tent or mat
• Removable straps at the base for attaching a tent or mat
• Compartment with removable rain cover
• Rear ice axe/trekking pole holder
• Front trekking pole holder for immediate access
• Safety whistle on the chest strap
• Top grab handle
• Several equipment attachment loops

For more capacity, the Osprey Stratos comes in a 44-litre version: the Stratos 44 backpack, with a removable lid and an extra secondary front pocket.
