Aircontact Lite 40+10 hiking backpack

Ideal for hiking in summer weather, this Deuter Aircontact lite 40 + 10-litre hiking backpack combines exceptionally low weight with good carrying comfort.

 

Carrying system:

The Aircontact lite 40 L + 10 backpack offers exceptional carrying comfort:

• Breathable foam lumbar pads with hollow chambers hold the pack against your back while providing excellent airflow. A pumping effect activates the AirContact pads with every movement, generating circulating ventilation. Moist air escapes all around. The result: 15% less perspiration than with a standard trekking backpack, plus excellent load distribution.
• Adjustable aluminium stays in the back transfer weight to the ergonomic hip belt. The flexible X-shaped stays improve comfort while walking.
• Shoulder straps are easily adjusted in height using the Vari Quick system.
• The hip belt uses Pull-Forward fastening: simply pull forwards to tighten it, rather than sideways and backwards as on a conventional pack.
• Load-lifter straps.
• Elastic, height-adjustable chest strap.

 

Features:

• Main compartment accessible from the top and bottom, split into 2 by a removable zipped divider. The bottom section can hold dirty, wet items away from your other belongings.
• Extension collar adds 10 litres of extra storage at the top.
• Hydration reservoir compartment in the main compartment, with a drinking tube outlet.
• Removable, height-adjustable lid with 2 zipped pockets: one on top with a hook for keys, for example, and one inside the lid.
• Spacious stretch front pocket for a jacket, harness and more.
• Stretch side pockets for water bottles, for example.
• Zipped mesh hip belt pocket to keep a phone, camera or snack within easy reach.
• Attachment loops on the lid and base let you secure equipment with cords.

The Deuter Aircontact lite is made from strong, abrasion-resistant materials: 

• Base reinforced with exceptionally durable Duratex.
• Super-Polytex fabric: woven from 600-denier polyester yarn and coated with a thick layer of polyurethane, this lightweight fabric resists tearing and wear for versatile use. 
• 100D PocketT Rip Mini nylon: the featherweight version of Pocket Rip nylon
