Piz Buin

PIZ BUIN distributes sun protection products for mountain activities and hiking: sun lotions, lip balm sticks, sun protection packs and more. The PIZ BUIN® brand was inspired by Franz Greiter, a young chemistry student who suffered severe sunburn while climbing Piz Buin, a mountain on the Swiss-Austrian border, in 1938. In a small laboratory at his parents' home, he set about formulating a product to protect skin from the harmful effects of the sun. A product that would later become known as PIZ BUIN®.
