Astrum EVO 55+10 women's backpack

The Vaude Astrum EVO 55+10 women's backpack is perfectly suited to multi-day hikes and journeys to the far corners of the world that require carrying fairly heavy loads. Its basic 55-litre capacity can be extended to carry another 10 litres of equipment.

This Vaude backpack is particularly comfortable and durable. Designed for women, its hip belt and shoulder straps are shaped for the female body. It is also well equipped, with several practical features.

Carrying system:

• It features an adjustable Tergolight contact back system, perfectly suited to long treks and travel while providing maximum carrying comfort.
• This Astrum EVO hiking backpack uses an aluminium frame to ensure maximum stability and effective load transfer to the hips.
• The padding varies in firmness across the contact areas for complete comfort.
• A ventilation channel runs along the back, with perforated, mesh-covered padding.
• The ergonomic shoulder straps and hip belt are generously padded and shaped for the female body: more curved shoulder straps and a wider belt follow the contours of the hips. This ensures maximum carrying comfort, even with a heavy load.
• The back length is easy to adjust.
• Adjustable chest straps.
• Load-lifter straps.
• Side compression straps.
• Three grab handles: at the top and bottom of the front, and at the top of the back.

Features:

A highlight of this Vaude Astrum EVO women's hiking backpack is its removable lid. It converts into a shoulder bag for bus or train journeys when you need to leave your backpack and keep just your personal belongings close, for example. It can also serve as a hanging wash bag. Simply detach the lid and open its main zip to reveal a proper wash bag with two zipped mesh pockets, a mirror and a hanging hook.

• The main compartment of this Vaude backpack is divided into 2 compartments by a removable divider.
• The removable divider can either split the pack into two compartments or create a hydration bladder compartment.
• This compartment is accessible from the top and bottom, as well as through a large suitcase-style zipped opening that opens fully from top to bottom for easy access to the contents.
• Large zipped front pocket.
• Lid with a large external zipped pocket containing 1 zipped mesh pocket; the lid height is adjustable.
• Two elasticated mesh side pockets for water bottles.
• 1 trekking pole/ice axe holder.
• 1 zipped hip belt pocket to keep a camera, phone or snack within easy reach.
• Velcro loop for securing a hydration bladder, with a drinking tube outlet.
• Side compression straps.
• Clip-fastening straps for attaching a tent to the bottom of the pack.
• Safety whistle on the chest strap.
• Several attachment systems for securing different accessories.

This backpack uses very strong YKK zips and thick, abrasion-resistant ripstop fabrics.
