Merino wool for hiking:
what are the benefits?
Socks, underwear and T-shirts: merino wool is a particularly popular base layer for hiking. Hiking in cold weather? Or hot weather? Heading away for several days with limited changes of clothing? Want to feel comfortable both during exercise and at rest? Merino wool ticks many boxes for hikers. But it also needs some care in use.
Choosing a power bank and solar panel
When hiking, we disconnect from daily life, but not always from our devices… Phone, GPS watch, head torch: portable energy needs often require backup batteries, sometimes paired with a compact solar panel.
RayonRando helps you choose batteries and solar panels to suit your circumstances:
- Assess your daily electrical energy needs.
- Choose battery specifications suited to your devices and needs.
- Understand how a solar panel works and how to use it correctly.
- Choose a solar panel suited to your energy needs.
