Cookie information
Updated: 4 October 2026.
A cookie is a small file placed on your device by the website you visit. Rayon Rando only places cookies necessary for the website to function. Only visitors arriving through a Google ad are asked for consent to Google Ads cookies.
1. Necessary cookies
These are essential to the service you request and therefore do not require your consent.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| rr_cart | retrieve your basket | 30 days |
| rr_customer | keep you signed in to your account | a maximum of 24 hours |
| rr_compare | retain the products selected for comparison | 30 days |
| rr_google_ads | remember your response to the question about Google Ads | 6 months |
At the payment stage, the module provided by Revolut, our payment provider, may place its own cookies, which are necessary for payment security.
On the Bourg-Saint-Maurice shop page, the poster through which you arrived (QR code) is retained in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when the tab closes, so it can be included with any “Notify me when the shop opens” registration you submit.
2. Audience measurement without cookies
We measure website traffic using Plausible, which we host ourselves: no cookies are placed, your IP address is not retained, and no identifier tracks you from one day to the next or from one website to another. These anonymous statistics do not require your consent.
3. Google Ads, with your consent
Only visitors arriving through a Google ad see a banner asking for their consent. Until you accept, nothing is loaded or transmitted to Google.
If you accept, Google Ads places cookies (_gcl_au, _gcl_aw or _gcl_gb), retained for 90 days, to determine whether the ad led to an order. When you order, your email address, telephone number, name and address are transmitted to Google in hashed, unreadable form, along with the order reference and amount.
Your choice is retained for 6 months. To change it, use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page: withdrawing your consent deletes Google Ads cookies.
4. Videos and content from other websites
Videos on product pages and the homepage (YouTube, Vimeo) are only loaded when you start playback; these services may then place their own cookies.
YouTube videos, Google Maps and the Google form embedded in some advice articles are also only loaded when you click on them; Google may then place its own cookies. Before you click, only a YouTube video's preview image is displayed: Google serves it without placing a cookie.
5. Browser settings
Your browser allows you to delete or block cookies. Without the necessary cookies, the basket and account sign-in will not work.
For other aspects of the processing of your data, see the privacy policy.
