Switchback Reg lightweight foam sleeping mat

The Nemo Switchback Regular foam sleeping mat is a durable, affordable option if you want a lightweight mat with a little more comfort than a basic camping mat. It is well suited to those wanting a long-lasting solution without investing in an inflatable mat.

The Nemo Switchback mat has several advantages over a self-inflating or standard foam mat:

• A thickness of 2.3 cm, close to that of a lightweight self-inflating mat
• Very low weight
• Decent insulation (R-value of 2), better than other foam mats thanks to its crush-resistant dual-density foam and metallic film that blocks cold from the ground and reflects body heat. This film is protected by another abrasion-resistant film.
• It is bulkier when packed than a self-inflating mat, but remains compact thanks to its carefully optimised cell geometry. It folds concertina-style, with the cells nesting perfectly together.
• Finally, it is exceptionally quick to lay out and pack away, so you will readily take it out to sit on during lunch, for example.
