Allround Taurus 2 P lightweight hiking tent

The Vaude Allround Taurus 2 P is a lightweight 2-person hiking tent combining durability and usable space with a balance of weight and packed size suited to multi-day trips.

Weather resistance comes first

The Allround Taurus 2P tent offers excellent wind stability thanks to its tunnel shape and arch pole system, along with very good waterproofing, with a flysheet waterproof to 3000 mm and a groundsheet waterproof to 5,000 mm. The structure uses poles that are lightweight and durable, made from 8.7 mm DAC 7001 T6 aluminium.

True to its environmental reputation, Vaude uses 100% recycled polyester fabrics with a PFC-free PU coating.
 

Optimised space and practical pitching

This hiking tent is spacious for 1 person and remains comfortable for 2 thanks to several features:

A pole keeps the wall taut at the head end, while 2 aluminium struts integrated into the fabric do the same at the foot end to maintain generous interior space.
An additional aluminium strut at the front creates a porch with enough room for bags and boots. This front porch also lets you eat comfortably while staying inside the tent.

The Vaude Allround Taurus 2 P tent also pitches quickly and very easily thanks to its external frame system. This is very useful in bad weather, allowing quick pitching without exposing the interior to rain, for example: the outer fabric goes up first, with the inner tent clipped underneath. The inner can remain permanently attached if desired for ultra-fast pitching.

Several storage spaces inside the tent hold items such as your headtorch or smartphone.

The Vaude tent comes with a pole repair kit and a watertight roll-top storage bag.

 

To save weight, consider the MSR Mutha Hubba lightweight tent, although it comes at a much higher price.
