Access 2 lightweight hiking tent

The MSR Access 2 hiking tent is a 4-season tent combining light weight, robust construction and easy use even in extreme cold. It lets you hike without too much weight, even in winter.

Robust construction and materials: effective in all weather

The MSR Access 2 tent combines several features for strength:

• The main innovation is its Easton Syclone poles, made from the latest composite materials. These poles withstand strong winds and snow loads. They are both flexible and robust to resist breakage.
• The structure uses a reinforced frame with a central support pole (see photo), giving 6 contact points and hubs that connect the poles. This optimises internal space and withstands snow loads.
• This unified pole structure is easy to assemble even at very low temperatures.
• The durable fabrics use ripstop nylon with dual Durashield polyurethane and silicone coatings.

 

Practicality and comfort in a lighter tent

The Access 2 is lighter than other high-mountain tents while offering good comfort:

• This tent has two doors and easy access for two people. 
• The 107 cm height is very generous, making sitting up easy.
• The internal space is comfortable thanks to the unified pole system (the walls are vertical).
• Finally, the 2 porches hold equipment, freeing up more living space inside the tent.
