Lofoten 2 ULW lightweight hiking tent

The Nordisk Lofoten 2 ULW two-person hiking tent stands out for its exceptionally low weight and compact packed size (22x11cm). It achieves this size and weight through premium materials, at the expense of living space. A hiking tent for purists whose priority is reducing weight rather than comfort.

The compromise on living space

An ultralight tent means compromising on space and comfort. The Lofoten 2 ULW is no exception. Designed for two people, its cramped interior is more comfortable for solo use. The inner tent is 120 cm wide and 70 cm high.

Access is from one side, with a porch for your backpack. There is also space at the end of the tent between the flysheet and inner, where you can store your shoes, for example.

A pole and guylines are supplied to hold the tent door open, creating airflow through the tent or a sheltered outdoor space.

With just one pole, it is not freestanding. The flysheet uses fairly thin 7D nylon, which keeps its weight down.

Premium materials 

The Lofoten 2 ULW ultralight hiking tent is made from lightweight, strong materials. The flysheet has 3 layers of silicone coating to make it water-repellent.

The nylon inner tent has two mesh ventilation panels for good breathability and reduced condensation.

The groundsheet offers good waterproofing rated at 3500 mm.

The high-performance aluminium pole with short sections uses a special suspension system that makes it very flexible and therefore resistant to wind.

The guylines use ultralight Dyneema cord with reflective thread for greater visibility.

Straps at the attachment rings let you adjust the tent's tension as required.

Finally, the supplied titanium pegs weigh just 2 grams each.
