BeFree AC 0.5L soft filter bottle

The Katadyn Befree AC 0.5 L soft filter bottle is a very light, compact filtration solution with a dual filter (0.1 micron membrane + activated carbon) to remove most microorganisms and unpleasant tastes when travelling or hiking.

Effective filtration:

The Befree AC 0.5 L combines 2 filters for filtering varied water sources (clear, cloudy or unpleasant-tasting):

• A 0.1 micron hollow-fibre membrane. It removes 99.9% of protozoa, 99.9999% of bacteria and microplastics.
• Activated carbon reduces unpleasant tastes, odours, turbidity and chlorine.

It can be used without the carbon filter while retaining full filtration effectiveness.

Fast filtration flow: up to 2 litres per minute (without the activated carbon filter).

A lightweight, practical filter:

Highly compressible, this filter bottle fits easily into large or small backpacks. Its featherweight construction makes it one of the lightest filters on the market.

The Befree AC 0.5 L has a flask shape, slimmer than the classic Befree 0.5 L, to fit hiking or trail running bottle holders.

The filter bottle has a wide 42 mm opening and a handle for easy filling of the soft pouch.

Easy maintenance:

Both filters (membrane and activated carbon) are replaceable to keep your bottle working for years:

• The EZ-Clean hollow-fibre membrane treats up to 1000 L of water (indicative, as this depends on water turbidity).
• The activated carbon filter treats up to 200 L of water. Replacement BeFree carbon filters are available.

Maintaining your Befree AC 0.5 L filter is simple:

• unscrew the filter from the bottle.
• swish it in clean water to remove sediment.

This filter bottle also has a very tough flip cap that protects the valve from dirt and prevents leaks.
