This Lifesaver Cube 5L offers highly reliable filtration because it is mechanical. A membrane perforated with 0.015-micron pores, compared with 0.1 or 0.2 for more common filters, physically blocks:

• viruses > 99.99 %
• cysts > 99.99 %

This filter can treat around 5000 litres of water before clogging, depending on water turbidity. A filter at the end of its life stops letting water through, so there is no risk of contamination.
Pressurising the water enables a flow rate of up to 1.25 litres / minute.
An activated carbon disc is included to remove chlorine, odours and unpleasant tastes from the water, with a lifespan of around 100L.
