Hiker Pro water filter

The Katadyn Hiker Pro water microfilter is not only small and lightweight, but also very effective on hikes or excursions.

This microfilter retains bacteria and protozoa. It does not remove viruses: suitable additional treatment is needed if viral contamination is a risk, as stated in the instructions.

This portable water filter effectively removes bacteria, protozoa, cysts, algae, spores and sediment.

It also connects very easily to a hydration bladder or water bottle.

 

How it works:

The Hiker Pro filters water through its 0.2-micron fibreglass filter cartridge.

Filtration reduces bacteria and protozoan cysts in the water; it does not sterilise it.
This microfilter has a protective screen to extend the life of the filter cartridge.

It also uses activated carbon granules to improve the water's taste and remove odours.
