• The pivoting Vari Flex hip belt follows the wearer's movements, ensuring excellent load stability.
• Tensioned back mesh allows air to circulate freely.
• A continuously elastic spring-steel frame gives the backpack its lightweight, flexible structure and maintains the tension of the back mesh.
• Lightweight, contoured, pre-shaped aluminium stays transfer the load to the hip belt while increasing the stability of the tensioned back mesh.
• Ergonomic hip belt stabilisers, made from polyethylene-reinforced bilaminate foam, transfer the load effectively to the hips.
• Ergonomic shoulder straps covered in durable 3D AirMesh distribute the load evenly, with easy height adjustment using the Aircomfort Flexlite system

The Deuter Futura Air Trek hiking backpack has a host of practical and safety features.

• The main compartment is accessible from the top and bottom, as well as through a suitcase-style front opening for easy access to all your belongings. A zipped divider splits it into 2 sections. A two-way zip gives access to the separate bottom compartment, where you can keep a sleeping bag or wet, dirty clothing away from other items. The suitcase-style opening makes all your belongings easy to reach.
• The extension collar adds 10 litres of storage capacity and opens and closes with a cord lock.
• The removable lid is height-adjustable, with an external zipped pocket containing a hook for keys, for example, and a zipped pocket underneath.
• Hydration reservoir compartment in the main compartment, with a drinking tube outlet.
• Zipped bellows pockets on each side

Durable materials:

The Futura Vario is made from strong, abrasion-resistant materials: 

• Base reinforced with exceptionally durable Duratex.
• Deuter-Super-Polytex fabric: woven from 600-denier polyester yarn and coated with a thick layer of polyurethane, this fabric is lightweight and resistant to tearing and wear.
• Macro lite 210: this 210-denier nylon is highly abrasion-resistant thanks to its dense weave. It also has a polyurethane coating.
