TX.Direct Spray-On technical fabric waterproofer spray

Nikwax TX.Direct Spray-On waterproofer for technical clothing makes it easy to waterproof your rainwear and wet-weather equipment.

It is recommended for waterproofing Gore-Tex and eVent membrane fabrics.

Your rainwear may let water in if dirty, or lose its waterproofing over time.

 We recommend first washing it with Nikwax Tech Wash® cleaner. If it is almost new or has recently been reproofed, washing alone will restore the durable water repellent (DWR) treatment.

However, when a garment has seen plenty of use, you will need to reproof it using Nikwax TX.Direct® waterproofer after washing it with Nikwax Tech Wash® cleaner.

 

This waterproofing spray is safe for waterproof-breathable items with absorbent linings or items that cannot be machine washed.

If your garment has no absorbent lining, we recommend using Nikwax TX.Direct® Wash-In waterproofer, which covers the entire surface without missing any areas.

 

This waterproofing spray's durable water repellent treatment does not need heat to activate, so tumble drying is unnecessary for the best results.

As garments with taped seams age, the seam adhesive weakens, becoming fragile and heat-sensitive, so it is best to avoid tumble drying.

Directions for use:

For best results, remove all non-washable parts and always pre-wash items with Nikwax Tech Wash® cleaner. There is no need to dry garments before waterproofing them.
 

• Protect the work surface and lay the clean, wet garment flat with its zips closed.
• Hold the bottle 15cm from the garment.
• Apply evenly to the garment's outer fabric.
• Wait for 2 minutes, then wipe off excess with a damp cloth.
• Make sure no areas have been missed.
• After several minutes, wipe off any excess with a damp cloth.
