Talon 33 hiking backpack
Lightweight yet well-equipped hiking backpack. Adjustable, highly breathable contact back and exceptionally comfortable hip belt.
The Osprey Talon 33 hiking backpack stands out for its low weight for a 33-litre pack and comfortable carrying. Its contact back is height-adjustable and ventilated, while the hip belt wraps closely around the lumbar region to balance the load.
Well equipped with plenty of features, it suits day or weekend hikes with a light load.
Carrying: comfort and good load distribution
The Talon 33 backpack has a flexible Airscape back panel in ridged or accordion-style foam covered with mesh. This construction keeps the load close to your back while providing good ventilation through the channelled foam and mesh.
The hip belt also uses channelled foam covered in breathable fabric. The flexible foam wraps closely around the lumbar region for improved comfort. It adjusts easily by pulling the straps forwards.
The back panel and foam hip belt follow hip movements closely, distributing the load exceptionally well as you walk.
- Padded shoulder straps covered in mesh for greater breathability. The back is height-adjustable using Velcro: simply peel back the panel and adjust the shoulder strap height for optimum comfort.
- Height-adjustable chest strap and load-lifter straps at the top of the backpack.
Features: numerous accessories make this a versatile pack
The Osprey Talon 33 has a main compartment accessible from the top, with a drawcord and a strap for securing equipment.
The hydration bladder compartment is completely separate from the main storage compartment, positioned between the back and main compartment, with a hanging clip.
The lid has two zipped pockets: one on top and an internal mesh pocket with a key clip. Unlike the Talon 44 backpack, its lid is not removable.
A front mesh pocket with a clip closure can hold a waterproof jacket or extra layer, for example.
Two stretch mesh side pockets hold water bottles. Compression straps across these pockets let you secure accessories or compress the sides of the pack.
Two zipped pockets, one on each side of the hip belt, hold a smartphone, camera or other small items.
A small shoulder strap pocket can hold a cereal bar or gel.
The Talon 33 backpack also features:
- Chest strap with a safety whistle.
- A strap on top of the pack for attaching extra equipment.
- Two trekking pole/ice axe holders on the back, plus a front pole holder that lets you reach your poles without removing the pack.
- Various attachment loops around the pack.
The Talon 33 backpack is not supplied with a rain cover. We offer the Highlander Rucksac cover as an accessory.
For more capacity, the Osprey Talon 44 backpack offers the same comfort and features, plus a removable lid, bottom access and base straps for attaching a tent or mat.
