Talon 22 hiking rucksack

The Osprey Talon 22 hiking rucksack stands out for its low weight for a 22-litre pack and its carrying comfort, thanks to a close-fitting ventilated back and a hip belt that wraps around the lumbar region for a well-balanced load.

Well equipped with plenty of features, it suits day or weekend hikes with a light load.

Carrying: comfort and good load distribution

The Talon 22 rucksack has a flexible Airscape back panel made from ridged or concertina-style foam covered in mesh. This construction keeps the load close to your back while providing good ventilation through the contoured foam and mesh.

The hip belt is also made from contoured foam covered in breathable fabric. The flexible foam wraps around the lumbar region for greater comfort. It adjusts easily by pulling the straps forwards.

The combination of the back panel and foam hip belt, which follows hip movement closely, provides excellent load distribution as you walk.

• Padded shoulder straps covered in mesh for greater breathability. The back is height-adjustable using Velcro: simply peel back the panel and adjust the shoulder strap height for optimum comfort.
• Height-adjustable chest strap and load-lifter straps at the top of the backpack.

Features: numerous accessories make this a versatile pack

The Osprey Talon 22 rucksack has a main compartment accessed from the top through a zip.

The hydration bladder compartment is completely separate from the main storage compartment, positioned between the back and main compartment, with a hanging clip.

A front mesh pocket with a clip closure can hold a waterproof jacket or extra layer, for example.

Two stretch mesh side pockets hold water bottles. Compression straps across these pockets let you secure accessories or compress the sides of the pack.

Two zipped pockets, one on each side of the hip belt, hold a smartphone, camera or other small items.

A small shoulder strap pocket can hold a cereal bar or gel.

The Talon 22 rucksack also features:

• Sternum strap with a safety whistle.
• Two pole/ice axe holders at the rear, plus a front pole holder that lets you retrieve them without removing the pack.
• Various attachment loops around the pack.
• Helmet holder at the front of the pack

The Talon 22 rucksack does not come with a rain cover. We also offer the Highlander Rucksack Cover Small rain cover.

For greater capacity, the Osprey Talon 33 rucksack offers the same comfort and features, with an additional lid at the top.
